Under New Management
As Captain of Garnant Park Golf Club, it gives me great pleasure to welcome you on behalf of all of our members. I hope you will enjoy browsing our web site and trust that you will equally enjoy a day at our Club to experience this excellent course and its spectacular scenery.
I consider it a huge honour to be Captain of the club for 2014 and look forward to meeting up with you at one of the many club and social events.
I would like to wish our Lady Captain Christine Jones, and all the members of the ladies section the very best of luck for the incoming year.
In closing, for our members, I hope they will continue to enjoy the course and all the events planned for the forthcoming golfing season and wish you the very best for your respective club matches.
With tees to suit golfers of all ability Garnant Golf Club is a truly enjoyable test of golf in a stunning area of natural beauty.
Perched on the hillside above the sleepy former mining town of the same name, Garnant boasts some of the most dramatic views of any golf club in the country. It’s easy to forget about a double bogey or a three putt whilst you’re overlooking the idyllic Black Mountains of the Brecon Beacons with native birds of prey soaring in the skies above.
Oh, and the golf course itself isn’t too bad either…
… boasting USGA spec greens and tees, this relatively new test of Welsh golf was honoured in 2003 being named Wales’ best new golf club and again in 2004 by the Sports Turf Research Institute (STRI) winning their environmental award.
From the back tees this truly unique experience measures over 6,500 yards and is a great test for even the lowest handicapper, yet the more forward tees will set up a much more subdued challenge allowing both mid and high handicappers chance to give more attention the spectacular greens…
… without doubt one of Wales’ Best Kept Golfing Secrets that should be sampled and appreciated by everyone with the opportunity to do so.
And what better way to relax and reminisce about all the putts made and putts missed than on the magnificent decking overlooking the breathtaking (particularly at sunset) and historic Amman Valley.
